These can include high level domestic violence cases, families with complex needs and these cases are taken on as we nave the capacity as an organisation to meet those needs. Our higher levels of assistance include drafting letters, preparation of court papers, legally assisted mediations and full representation in court.
Family Violence
Our founder, Steve Frost, left his full-time job as a lawyer to start Horizons and help people who would not otherwise be able to access legal help. It started with him and a couple of volunteers and now we have 4 lawyers and a brilliant support team.
We help hundreds of families a year who are navigating family breakdown, conflict and domestic violence situations and all help is provided for free or very low-cost.
We work with like hearted organisations around Sydney and everything we do is as an expression of our Christian faith.
